Arsenal suffer transfer blow as €30m Barcelona star Arda Turan included in pre-season squad
Arsenal have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Barcelona star midfielder Arda Turan.
Turan’s Barcelona future has been cast in doubt following the appointment of Ernesto Valverde in place on Luis Enrique.
However, the Catalan giants have included Turan in their 26-man-squad which will fly out to the USA as part of their pre-season tour.
Andre Gomes and Andre Ter Stegen have been given an extended summer break due to their participation in the Confederation Cup last month.
Meanwhile, a source close to the player has revealed to Turkish football that Turan wants to remain at Barcelona this season.

The Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo claims that Premier League giants Arsenal are keen on signing the 30-year-old.
The report goes onto state that the Gunners will however, not match Barcelona’s €30 million valuation for the Turkey international.

Turan registered seven assists and 13 goals in 30 appearances for Barcelona last term. The former Galatasaray star has three-years remaining on his current deal with Barca.
