Arsenal superstar reveals Man United plans, tells team-mates move is in the bag

Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil is nearing a move away from the north London-based club.

The 29-year-old has failed to pen a new deal with the Gunners while his current contract expires in under nine months.

Ozil could end up leaving the club for free unless Arsenal can strike a new deal with him or sell the Germany international in January.

According to the Mirror, Ozil has told his Arsenal team-mates that he will join Manchester United next summer.

The move will reopen a wound in Arsenal fans caused by Robin van Persie’s transfer to United back in 2012.

The Mirror goes onto state that Ozil is confident that he will move to Old Trafford.

Ozil previously played under Jose Mourinho during his three-year spell at Real Madrid. The pair won the La Liga and League Cup during their time in Spain.

The German playmaker started last weekend’s 2-1 defeat on the bench and came on mid-way though the second half. Nevertheless, Ozil was harshly criticised for his role in the Gunners defeat.
