Arsenal target Tolgay Arslan confirms Beşiktaş move [divider]
HSV Hamburg midfielder Tolgay Arslan has confirmed that he has agreed terms with Beşiktaş.
The 24-year-old midfielder confirmed that he had reached an agreement via his Facebook page.
Arslan posted an image wearing a Beşiktaş shirt and scarf with the caption, “I am very happy to be able to tell you that I have joined Beşiktaş, I want to thank everyone at Hamburg and wish my former club all the best in the future.”
The central midfielder was on the verge of signing for Trabzonspor however, opted to join Beşiktaş at the last minute.
Arsenal had also been keeping close tabs on the hard working midfielder according to the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old will be available for Beşiktaş’s clash against Mersin İdmanyurdu on Sunday.
The Germany and Turkey U20 international moved to Hamburg from Dortmund in 2009 on a free transfer.
Arslan has two assists in 15 appearances in all competitions for HSV this season.
The 24-year-old was born in Germany and represent either Turkey or Germany at international level.
Arslan will be able to play with a domestic status in Turkey due to being of Turkish origin.
