Arsenal team news: Gunners dealt major injury scare ahead of Liverpool
Arsenal have been dealt a major injury scare ahead of their encounter with Liverpool on March 4.
According to the Times, Germany international Mesut Ozil has been suffering from back spasms.

Per the source, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has given Ozil time off to overcome his injury. Ozil subsequently traveled to Istanbul with former Miss World Turkey Amine Gulse.
The Times goes onto state that Ozil should be fit in time for the Gunners clash with Liverpool but has been playing though the pain barrier in recent weeks.
The Germany international was carrying the same back injury during Arsenal’s 5-1 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League.
Wenger decided to give Ozil time off in the hope of getting the 28-year-old back to full fitness.
The injury could perhaps explain Ozil’s dip in form, the attacking midfielder has not scored a goal for Arsenal in 2017.
Meanwhile, in other Arsenal team news, Haberturk have stated that Ozil wants to buy property in Istanbul and was busy house hunting yesterday.
Gulse and Ozil do have a history together but neither have commented on whether they are currently in a relationship.
They have however, been sharing a hotel room in the Besiktas district of Istanbul.
Ozil has family in Turkey and is of Turkish origin despite being born in Germany.
The 28-year-old’s family originate from the Zonguldak district in north-western Turkey but Ozil frequently visits Istanbul.
Ozil is bi-lingual in Turkish and German, he has also stated in the past that he does see himself playing in Turkey at some stage in his career.
The World Cup winner has made no secret that he is Fenerbahce fan having grown up supporting the club.
Ozil told the Sabah last July: “In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahce shirt. It would be an honour. Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan.”
