Arsene Wenger revealed that he will start with David Ospina in goal. The Colombian international has been favoured in all six group matches so far over the campaign and will keep his place over Petr Cech.

“I have nothing to hide there, it will be Ospina because of the quality of his performances,” the Arsenal manager was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

“We are in the last 16 and finished top of the group. If you analyse his performances in every single game we are where we are because of his great performances.”

Granit Xhaka returns to the squad following his sending off against Burnley back in January.

Lucas Perez is out with a hamstring injury and according to the Sun there are doubts over whether Mesut Ozil will keep his place in the side after a drop of form.

Ozil has yet to score a goal in the Premier League in 2017 and has just one assist since the turn of the year.

The 28-year-old has not actually scored for the North London based outfit since 10 December.

The Germany international of Turkish origin does however, know Bayern well from his time playing in the Bundesliga and he is familiar with a few of the players from national team duty.

Wenger will also be without Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey leaving his short of options in midfield.

Bayern Munich meanwhile are without Jerome Boateng and Franck Ribery.
