Arsenal team news: Wenger missing several key names ahead of West Brom clash

Arsenal have had an extended break since their victory over Doncaster Rovers in the League Cup.

The north London-based club face West Brom on Monday night as they look to record back-to-back victories.

West Brom meanwhile are without a win in their last four games and will be hoping for a positive result against the Gunners.

Arsenal team news:

Star playmaker Mesut Ozil is still a doubt for Monday’s game despite re-joining training after recovering from a knee injury.

Wenger was quoted by the official Arsenal website as saying: “He [Ozil] is in training and will come back with the team training today or tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, Callum Chambers, Francis Coquelin and Danny Welbeck are all ruled out with injures. Arsenal do not have any players serving a suspension.

Welbeck is currently Arsenal’s top goalscorer with three goals. Chile international Alexis Sanchez is the likely candidate to replace him in attack.

West Brom team news:

West Brom boss Tony Pulis may need to make changes to his starting lineup with Chris Brunt, Burke, Chadli all carrying injuries.
