Arsenal star playmaker Mesut Ozil has been ruled out for the Gunners clash with Bournemouth in the Premier League tonight according to the Mirror.
The Germany international was sidelined for Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace over the weekend due to an illness.
The Mirror states that Ozil has failed to shake off the illness and will not be included in Arsene Wenger’s squad tonight.
Ozil has been in exceptional form this season with seven assists and nine goals in 23 apperances for the Gunners this term.
Nigeria international Alex Iwobi started in place of Ozil during the Gunners victory over Palace and the young midfielder is once again expected to be included in Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up
Iwobi has three assists and three goals in 23 apperances for Arsenal so far this season.
Arsenal can move up into third place in the league if they record a win over Bournemouth tonight. The Gunners are currently nine points behind leaders Chelsea.
