Arsenal have received a boost in their hopes of signing Barcelona star Arda Turan.

The report goes onto say that both Mathieu and Turan have ‘one foot out the door’

The Turkey international has been closely linked with Arsenal in recent months. The Sun previously reported that the Gunners were in talks with Turan.

However, Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut dismissed reports linking his client with a move away from Barcelona just last week.

“Arda is going to continue at Barcelona,” Bulut was quoted as saying by the Daily Star.

“He has no other plans and he is very happy there.”

The 30-year-old midfielder has provided seven assists and scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for Barca this term.

Luis Enrique’s side face Las Palmas next week knowing a defeat or draw could end their hopes of lifting the title.

Turan has over two years remaining on his current deal with Barcelona.
