Arsenal trolled by Germany following Mesut Ozil penalty miss

Arsenal transfer news Mesut Ozil Liverpool v Arsenal Arsenal line up Everton ace Ross Barkley as Mesut Ozil replacement Ross Barkley

Arsenal have been mocked by the Germany national team’s official Twitter account following Mesut Ozil’s penalty miss.

Ozil missed from the spot during Germany’s 3-0 victory over Slovakia in Euro 2016. The Arsenal playmaker had his spot-kick saved by Matus Kozacik in the 14th minute.

Following the game the 27-year-old was jokingly mocked by the official Twitter account of the Germany national team.

Germany are unbeaten in the competition so far after also defeating Ukraine and Northern Island are playing out a scoreless draw with Poland.

The Arsenal playmaker has provided one assist in four games for Germany so far in Euro 2016 but could have had a few more had his team-mates been less profligate against Northern Ireland in their final group game.

Ozil is expected to start once again when Germany will take on either Spain or Germany in the quarter finals of Euro 2016.
