Arsenal & West Brom made offers for Tolgay Arslan says agent

Beşiktaş midfielder Tolgay Arslan was involved in a transfer war with Süper Lig rivals Trabzonspor over the winter transfer window.

Arslan’s agent Francesco Di Frisco has revealed that Arsenal, West Brom and Inter also made his client offers.

“It was a really tough call to make, Beşiktaş were already in talks with us but we also had offers from Arsenal, Inter Milan, West Bromwich and Traboznspor,” Di Frisco told Radyospor.

“We decided to go with Beşiktaş and he has not looked back, it was the right call for this stage in his career.”

Arslan eventually joined Beşiktaş from HSV in January for just €500,000 in January and has already established himself as a first team player.

Inter are reported to be back in the running for the 24-year-old midfielder following a string of impressive performances for the Black Eagles.

“Inter Milan are interested but Tolgay is only thinking about his goals at Beşiktaş right now, he wants to stay at the club and win the league title,” Di Frisco said.

Arslan has two goals in all competitions since joining Beşiktaş in January.

The 24-year-old has started in the Black Eagles last three league games, all of which have ended in victories for the Turkish giants.

Beşiktaş are currently first in the league and take on 11th placed Gaziantepspor next on the weekend.
