Mesut Ozil has stated that Leicester have been ‘brilliant’ this season and deserve praise for what they have ached.
The Germany international went onto say it is now up to Arsenal to put a stop to the Foxes incredible win.
“It’ll be incredibly difficult to stop them. They were up 3-0 at Manchester City after 60 minutes,” Ozil told German magazine SID (via ESPN).
It’s brilliant what they accomplish with their team. You have to have the greatest respect for that. Our job is to at least for now get Leicester off this unbelievable wave of euphoria.”
Arsenal kept their 22 unbeaten streak against Bournemouth following the win last Sunday. The north London based side takes on league leaders Leicester Ciy this weekend.
Arsenal are joint second in the Premier League with Tottenham on 48 points each. Gunners are five points behind leaders Leicester City.
Ozil’s side has the opportunity to reduce the gap to just two points when they take on Leicester this weekend in the league.
