Both Ozil and Sanchez will have just 12 months remaining on their contract at the end of the season which was prompted speculation that they could be destined for a summer exit.

“I personally believe both of them want to stay and I hope the club will find an agreement with them,” Wenger was quoted as saying by the BBC.

Sanchez fuelled rumours that he could be on his way out following recent comments that he wants to stay in London at a club with a winning mentality.

The Chile international’s statement has been interpreted as a hint that he could be on his way to Chelsea.

“I’m happy in London [home of both Arsenal and current Premier League leaders Chelsea] and I want to finish my contract. I like to stay in one place, one city, where the team fights for titles,” Sanchez said.

Wenger has however, interpreted Sanchez’s comments in a positive light.

“Alexis said he wants to win the championship, that’s what everybody wants,” added Wenger.

Ozil meanwhile has been closely linked with a move to Manchester United according to Goal.

The Germany international of Turkish origin is no stranger to United boss Jose Mourinho having worked with the manager at Real Madrid.

Ozil is expected to make a decision regarding his future at the end of the season.

The Arsenal ace is settled in London but has not revealed if he will stay on or leave.

United are also currently the bookmakers favourites to sign the 28-year-old.
