“Assist Alexis to sign the new contract” – Arsenal fans react to Mesut Özil’s “focus” tweet
Arsenal fans have taken to social media to respond to Mesut Ozil’s latest Twitter post.
The 28-year-old has under 12 months remaining on his contract with the Gunners. However, Ozil has recently stated that he does want to remain at Arsenal for the forseeable future.
That said, the Germany international is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new deal. Ozil is currently with the rest of the Arsenal squad on a pre-season tour of China.
During his time in Shanghai, Ozil posted the following tweet.

The former Real Madrid man may have been referring to focus in training but Arsenal fans have one thing on their mind.
