Aston Villa join race for Man City target Gokhan Tore

Aston Villa have joined the race for Beşiktaş winger Gökhan Töre according to the Milliyet.

The report claims that Villa scouts were impressed with Töre during the Beşiktaş v Fenerbahçe derby at the Atatürk Olympic stadium last week.

Villa scouts attended the game and kept tabs on former Arsenal youth Oğuzhan Özyakup and Töre.

The Villans could however, face competition form Manchester City who NTV Spor claimed were linked with a €7 million bid for the explosive winger.

Töre was also been targetted by La Liga giants Atletico Madrid as well as Tottenham over the summer.

The 23-year-old has had his best start to a season since joining the Black Eagles from Rubin Kazan. Töre has five assists and one goal in six Turkish Super League games over the 2015-16 campaign.

The Turkish international joined the Chelsea academy as a youth and was a star of the FA Youth Cup winning side of 2010.

The 23-year-old winger parted ways with the Blues in 2011 to join HSV along with former Chelsea head of youth development Frank Arnesen before a brief stint at Rubin Kazan and then joined Beşiktaş.
