Aston Villa v Arsenal: Confirmed Starting Line Ups – Mesut Ozil will start

Arsenal team news

Arsenal travel to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa hoping to move into first place in the Premier League table.

The Gunners are currently in third place two points behind Leicester City and Manchester City but the Foxes do have a game in hand and will end the week as leaders with a win against Chelsea today.

The north London based side will be hoping to build on the momentum gained after beating Olympiakos 3-0 in Greece to book a place in the Champions League Last 16 for the 15th consecutive season.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will start Mesut Ozil against Villa. The World Cup winner has been in great form this season providing 12 assists in his last 14 league games – the highest in Europe’s top five leagues.

Villa have not defeated the north London based side at home since the 1998-99 season, when they beat the Gunners 3-2 victory at Villa Park.
