Avcı delighted with Basaksehir’s 4th consecutive win [divider]
Başakşehir manager Abdullah Avcı revealed that he was delighted with his sides 3-1 win against Erciyesspor.
“Set pieces are a vital part of the game and it was great to score our first goal via a dead piece situation,” Avci said.
“We really should have ended the game after taking the lead but ended up squandering our chances.
“We conceded a really soft goal and lost morale after.
“I made a few changes that resulted in a more dynamic, attack minded setup and we found two more goals with ease.
“We played well, I have nothing but praise for my players, we kept our place in fourth position and won our fourth consecutive league game.”
Başakşehir are fourth on 27 points having won their last four league games.
The Istanbul based side conceded their first goal in five games against Erciyesspor but still have the best defence in the league having only let in six goals all season.
