Ayhan Akman becomes Karşıyaka’s new manager

Karşıyaka have appointed Ayhan Akman as their new manager. the PTT 1.Lig side parted company with Yusuf Simsek yesterday.

Yusuf departed from the club after recorded just one win in their last five games. Last weekend’s 1-0 defeat away to Şanlıurfaspor was Yusuf’s final game in charge.

The young manager won 17, lost 13 and drew 9 of the 39 league games he was in charge of.

Kaf Kaf confirmed the news on their official website this morning.

Ayhan Akman who was previously an assistant manager at Kayseri Erciyesspot, has never managed a football team before.

Karşıyaka currently sit in 8th place with 30 points in 21 games. The Izmir based side have won four of their last six games at the İzmir Alsancak Stadium.

Kaf Kaf take on bottom of the table Orduspor this weekend.
