Azerbaijan v Germany – Probable lineups – Liverpool star could start, Arsenal’s Ozil a doubt

Germany take on Azerbaijan today at the Baku National Stadium, kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 (GMT).

Joachim Low’s side will be looking to continue their perfect record in Group C. Germany have racked up four wins in four games and are close to securing their place at the Russia 2018 World Cup.

Azerbaijan meanwhile are surprisingly in third place after four games, following victories over San Marino and Norway.

There is a question mark over Arsenal star Mesut Ozil’s fitness going into today’s Germany v Azerbaijan clash.

The 28-year-old picked up a back injury during training and missed the Gunners clash with West Brom due to a hamstring problem last weekend.

However, Ozil took to social media yesterday to reveal that he is back in training and may feature in today’s clash.

The former Real Madrid man has come under fire in recent weeks following a dip in performances and hasn’t scored a goal since December.

Liverpool midfielder Emre Can is in line to start today’s game due to injuries in Germany’s midfield. The former Bayer Leverkusen man featured for Low’s side during their win over England.
