Former Liverpool winger is expected an intense atmosphere at the Atatürk Olympic stadium ahead of the Europa League Round of 32 second leg game between the Reds and Beşiktaş.

“I am expecting a lot of noise from their fans. In the back of their minds, they’ll know what happened the last time Liverpool played Besiktas a few years ago – I still think they want to have some kind of revenge,” Babel told Liverpoolfc.com.

Babel revealed that the stadium tickets have already been sold out and that a maximum capacity is expected.

“I’ve heard the stadium is sold out, which hasn’t happened so far this season for Besiktas,” he added.

Beşiktaş recently released a statement confirming that 65,334 Black Eagles fans and 4,400 Reds supporters expected to attend the return leg.

The Atatürk Olympic stadium will have fond memories for Liverpool as it was where they won the 2005 Champions League final victory against AC Milan.

Babel scored a total of 22 goals in 146 appearances for Liverpool between 2007-11.
