Barcelona boss praises what Arda Turan has brought to the team

Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has praised Arda Turan for what he has brought to the team since making his debut last January.

The Turkish international star is currently in his best form in terms of goals scored and assists provided since joining the La Liga from Turkey.

Turan has 11 goals and seven assists in 19 appearances for Barca this season making him one of the best performing players in the squad.

“Vidal, as well as Arda [Turan], has been a positive since his debut one year ago,” Enrique was quoted as saying by ESPN. “They’re both important players for the team.”

Turan has been included in the squad along with Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar ahead of their Copa del Rey game against Athletic Bilbao.

Vidal has however, been left out of the squad for Thursday’s game at the San Mames.

Turan was linked with a big money move to China however, both he and his manager want him to remain at the club over the winter transfer window.

Turan still has another three years remaining on his current contract.

The bearded midfielder is the most successful Turkish international player today having won every domestic title in Spain and Turkey as well as the Europa League and European Super Cup.
