Barcelona manager Luis Enrique wants Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan according to presidential candidate Bartemeu.
The presidential hopeful tweeted that Turan is one of Enrique’s main summer targets.
“He’s a very good player, has real quality and perfectly marries what Luis Enrique wants for next season,” Bartomeu told Esport3.
The report claims that the transfer fee will be around the €35 million mark but Turan’s agent Ahmet Bulut stated that his client will go for his full €41 million release clause.
Bulut also denied being in talks with Barcelona and denied an agreement being in place.
“I have not spoke with anyone from Barcelona these newspaper stories are just rumours,” Bulut told NTV Spor.
“I am not going to say where Arda is going right now it is not the right time I would love to say but in three to four days the club will let you know anyway.”
Radio Cadena SER also revealed that the Barcelona board ruled out a move Turan.
Turan has also been closely linked with a move to the Premier League with Chelsea and Manchester United leading the race for the Turkish international’s signature.
Chelsea are currently the bookmakers favourite to sign the Turan Betvictor giving the 28-year-old winger odds of 1.33 to sign for the Blues.
