Barcelona, ‘complete and balanced’ following Arda Turan transfer

Arda Turan

Barcelona President Josep Maria Bartomeu has stated that the summer spending is over following the capture of Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid.

Turan completed his £24 million transfer from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona but will be unable to play until January due to the transfer ban imposed on the club by FIFA.

The Turkish international signed a five-year deal with the La Liga champions reported to be worth £6 million per-season.

Barcelona also signed Aleix Vidal from Sevilla for £16 million. The 25-year-old wing-back is also unable to feature for the Catalan club until January 2016 due to the Fifa-imposed transfer ban.

“We have a complete and balanced squad and Luis Enrique is happy with the players he has,” said Bartomeu, fresh from victory in Saturday’s presidential election,” Bartomeu was quoted as saying by the Guardian.

Turan became the first Turkish international to win the La Liga with Atleti and also lifted the Europa League, the European Super Cup, the Spanish Cup and was part of the side that reached the Champions League final in 2014.
