Barcelona eye shock move for Arsenal superstar who is demanding £10m per season
Barcelona are preparing a shock move for Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil.
According to the Italian outlet TWM the Catalan giants are interested in the Germany international.
Per the source Ozil has turned down Arsenal’s latest contract offer and has his heart is set on leaving north London.
The report goes onto states that Ozil is demanding a mega £10.5m-a-year salary.
If Ozil were to move to Barcelona it would certainly raise eyebrows among Real Madrid fans.
The Germany international enjoyed a successful spell at Madrid under Jose Mourinho. Ozil later made the move to Arsenal for a club record £42 million (BBC) in September 2013.
The 28-year-old has struggled for consistency this season has has frequently been singled out for not performing in the ‘big games.’
Ozil – who racked up 19 assists in the Premier League last season – has 11 goals and 11 assists to his name this term.
