Barcelona full-back could still ‘exit’ club

Barcelona full-back Aleix Vidal could be on his way out of the club over the winter transfer window according to his representative in Italy Battistini.

Vidal’s future is reported to be on standby and that there is a possibility of a Barca exit.

“The situation with Aleix is on standby. He’s a player of a high level and his exit from Barça can only go through if certain aspects are met,” Battistini was quoted as saying by Sport [via ‘TMW Radio’].

Vidal has struggled for playing time this season and Luis Enrique is unlikely to give him a regular first-team role.

The 27-year-old has made just five appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this season, playing a total of 450 minutes.

Vidal has had no shortage of interest and Galatasaray are keen on bringing him in on a loan deal.

The Lions would be able to offer first-team football as they have struggled at right-back this season and are in the market looking for defensive reinforcements.

The Istanbul giants would be unable to match his current wages due to the financial constraints the club are under.

Galatasaray are currently third in the Super Lig table just three points behind league leaders Basaksehir.
