Barcelona fuming after Arsenal target rejects £44m move to China – Star keen on Premier League move
La Liga giants Barcelona are fuming at Turkey international Arda Turan after he rejected an incredible £44 million move to the Chinese Super League.
The 30-year-old is yet to feature for Barca in the league this season following the appointment of Ernesto Valverde as manager.
According to the Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona received a £44 million bid from China for Turan, which they accepted.
Per the source, Turan turned down the offer, a decision which has angered Nou Camp chiefs.
A source close to the player has revealed to Turkish-Football.com that Turan is keen on a move to the Premier League while a move back to Turkey is his second choice.
Turkey national team boss Lucescu recently revealed that Arsenal had an offer for Turan turned down over the summer.
Turan still has two years remaining on his contract with Barcelona. The Turkey international registered seven assists and 13 goals in 30 appearances for Barca last term.
The former Galatasaray star made the move to Barcelona for £34 million from Atletico Madrid back in 2015.
