Barcelona crushed Athletic Bilbao 6-0 at the Camp Nou in the La Liga over the weekend to remain in second place.

Arda Turan did not start but he was brought on at half time to replace Lionel Messi.

The bearded winger provided his second assist in his second league game for Barcelona setting up Luis Suarez with a pin point defence splitting cross.

Turan has now provided as many assists in two league games as he did in his last 22 La Liga games for Atletico Madrid.

Barcelona have been in great form since Turan made his debut in the 4-1 victory over Espanyol in the Spanish Cup a fortnight ago.

In fact the Spanish Cup Last 16 first-leg tie was the last time Barcelona actually conceded a goal.

The reigning Champions League title holders have scored a staggering 16 goals in the last four games Turan has started in and conceded just the once.

Barcelona have defeated Espanyol home and away in the Spanish Cup as well as Granada and Bilbao in the league.

Turan has provided two assists in his last two league games and started in three of the last four Barcelona matches.
