Barcelona star Arda Turan has admitted that he has had to change his style to adapt to his new club.

Turan was the star man at Atletico Madrid but has had to battle his way into the first-team at Barca.

The Turkish international revealed that he will probably fully adapt to the Barca way of doing things next season. Turan stated that he needs time to learn the new system and get to grasps with the Catalan language.

“For me it’s a new system, a language that I still have to learn. Next year will be better,” Turan said in an interview with Diario Ara before the Clasico.

Turan revealed that he played a different role at Atleti and that he has had to alter his game to fit in at Barca.

“At Atletico Madrid I dribbled more, when I played in my natural position I looked for one-against-ones. Right now, at the moment, I have to change my style because there are players who are charged with doing what it was I did,” he added.

Turan has played in four different positions for Barca from right midfield to left midfield and on both wings.

The bearded winger has a grand total of two goals and four assists in all competitions for the reigning champions this season.
