Barcelona’s latest transfer Arda Turan has been selected among the Guardian newspaper’s ‘the biggest transfers of the off-season so far.’
The lists does not include transfers made in the Premier league or transfer made by clubs outside of Europe.
Turan recently completed his £24 million transfer from Atletico Madrid to Barcelona. The 28-year-old winger signed a five-year deal with Barcelona reported to be worth £6 million per-season.
The Turkish international became the first Turkish international to win the La Liga with Atleti and also lifted the Europa League, the European Super Cup, the Spanish Cup and was part of the side that reached the Champions League final in 2014.
Turan has been included in the Barcelona US tour squad but will be unable to play any friendly games as a result of the transfer suspension. The former Galatasaray midfielder will need to wait until January 2016 until he can make his first team debut.
