Barcelona star Arda Turan set to make debut against Granada after 6 month wait

Barcelona team news

Arda Turan has had a long wait – six months to be precise – to make his debut for Barcelona but he could make his first appearance for the club at the Camp Nou against Granada.

The Turkish international star is eligible to play from 1 January 2016 when the FIFA transfer ban imposed on Barcelona ends but nobody will be working at the LFP on New Years day which means that he will miss the derby against Espanyol the following day.

Turan will most likely end up getting registered along with Aleix Vidal who joined from Sevilla over the summer on 4 January.

The 28-year-old has not been able to play for Barcelona but he has featured regularly for the Turkish national team who are unbeaten in their last 11 games and booked a place in the European Championships this summer.

Turan joined Barcelona on a five-year deal from Atletico Madrid over the summer transfer window and has won almost every trophy in club football except the Champions League – he did however, play in the final.
