Barcelona star included in Turkey Euro 2016 squad

Barcelona star Arda Turan had a rough time at the La Liga champions this season having missed the first six-months due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.

Turan did manage to make 25 appearances scoring twice and providing four assists but was only given 46 minutes of playing time in the Barcelona’s last four league games.

The bearded winger was still deemed up to the challenge by Fatih Terim and picked for Turkey’s Euro 2016 squad.

Turan made the 23-man squad and will captain Turkey in France this summer. The 29-year-old provided an assist in the Crescent-Stars 1-0 winner over Montenegro last week and has been in impressive form for Turkey this season.

The experienced winger has now been involved in nine goals in his last 11 appearances for Turkey – four goals, five assists.
