Barcelona are wary of threat posed by Arsenal’s star playmaker Mesut Ozil according to Javier Mascherano.
The Argentina international will be fully aware of Ozil talents after the 27-year-old racked up 17 assists during Real Madrid’s title winning season.
“Ozil is key and you notice more and more that everything revolves around him,” Mascherano was quoted as saying by the Independent.
The Germany international was rested for Arsenal’s clash with Hull City in the lead up to their encounter with Barcelona.
The Gunners were unable to unlock Hull’s defence in Ozil’s absence during Saturday’s 0-0 draw.
Ozil has been in great form for Arsenal this season and provided the assist for the Gunners last-gasp goal that saw them cut the gap between themselves and league leaders Leicester City to two points.
The World Cup winner has six goals in all competitions and 17 assists in the Premier League – the highest in the league.
