Barcelona youth delighted to join Samuel Eto’o at Antalyaspor

Antalyaspor compelted the transfer of Barcelona youngster Lionel Enguene yesterday.

The 20-year-old midfielder was officially unveiled in a signing ceremony in Antalya where he put pen to paper to his new contract.

Enguene will join former Barcelona star Samuel Eto’o at his new club.

The Cameroon international won every trophy in domestic Spanish and European club football during his time at Barcelona and has hit the ground running in Turkey scoring 13 goals in the league this season.

Enguene revealed that it is an honour to be playing alongside Eto’o at his press-conference held shortly after the signing ceremony.

“I still have a lot to learn but I am delighted to be in Turkey and will learn a new language and culture,” Enguene told Turkish-football.com reporters after his signing ceremony.

“It is an honour to be playing in the same side as Eto’o. I grew up watching him.”

Enguene has become the fourth player from the Cameroon to join Antalyaspor alongside Eto’o, Mbilla Etame and Jean II Makoun.

Antalyaspor were promoted to the Super League over the summer but embarked on an ambitious transfer policy signing Eto’o and also recently opened their new state of the art Antalya Arena stadium.

The Scorpions are currently 12th in the league with 21 points after 18 games.
