Barcelona’s Arda Turan set to play his second Copa del Rey final

Barcelona defeated Valencia 8-1 on aggregate in the Spanish Cup semi-final to reach the final of the tournament.

Barca drew the second-leg game 1-1 to break the club record for unbeaten games going 29 games without a defeat.

Luis Enrique decided to rest several key members of the team including Bravo, Piqué, Sergio, Alves, Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Neymar, Mascherano, Alba and Arda Turan.

The draw was the first since Turan made his debut for the club with Barcelona winning all 10 previous games.

The bearded winger will feature in his second Copa del Rey final having already won the cup at Atletico Madrid under the stewardship of Diego Simeone.

Turan lifted every domestic trophy in Spain while at the Rojiblancos and all European cups except the Champions League.

The 28-year-old was part of the Atleti side that reached the Champions League final against Real Madrid in 2014 but did not feature.
