Turkish national team manager Fatih Terim has stated that Arda Turan will surprise people with his ‘tremendous quality as a footballer.’
The former AC Milan coach went on to say that Turan’s game will be further improved by playing alongside the likes of Messi, Iniesta and Suarez.
“Arda will surprise people with his tremendous quality as a footballer,” Terim said in an interview with Mundo Deportivo.
“To play alongside Messi, Iniesta, Busquets, [Ivan] Rakitic, [Luis] Suarez and Neymar makes you better day by day, game by game.”
The attacking midfielder joined Barcelona in a deal worth €41 million earlier this month after a successful four-year spell with Atletico Madrid.
However, Turan will be unable to make his debut for the La Liga giants due to a transfer ban imposed on the club by FIFA.
The former Galatasaray midfielder was expected to feature in the pre-season but the transfer ban also applies to friendly games.
Turan provided six assists and scored three goals in 46 appearances for Atletico Madrid last season.
