Başakşehir sign Crystal Palace & Sunderland target Stephane Badji

Başakşehir have completed the signing of the Senegalese international midfielder Stephane Badji from SK Brann.

The club which were promoted to the Turkish Super League this season confirmed the news on their official website.

The 24-year-old midfielder has signed a three and a half year deal with Başakşehir keeping him in Istanbul until July 2018. Başakşehir have paid SK Brann the €900,000 million release clause to secure the Senegal international’s contract.

West Brom, Crystal Palace and Sunderland have all been in the race to sign Badji according to the British newspaper Mirror.

Badji made 21 Tippeligaen appearances for SK Brann last season and has made 14 international appearances for Senegal.

Başakşehir’s new transfer will be available for selection for their league clash against an out-of-form Karabukspor on Friday.
