Bayer Leverkusen fullback Roberto Hilbert revealed that he would consider a return to Turkey at the end of the season.

“My contract at Leverkusen ends at the end of the season, Turkey could be an option,” Hilbert told Bügün.

The 30-year-old is free to enter direct talks with other clubs due to his contract set to run out at the end of the season.

Hilbert joined Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer from Beşiktaş in 2013.

The German fullback has three assists in 13 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit this season.

Bayer Leverkusen will take on La Liga champions Atletico Madrid in the Champions League Last 16 this week.

The 30-year-old had nine goals and eight assists in 110 appearances for the Black Eagles and won the 2010-11 Turkish Cup.

Hilbert has eight international caps for Germany and made his debut under Joachim Low in 2007.

Bayer are currently in 6th place in the Bundesliga on 33 points after 22 games.
