Galatasaray have won the Istanbul derby by a 2-0 scoreline.
The Lions took the lead via Felipe Melo in the 50th minute while Burak Yilmaz doubled the score in the 90+6 minute.
Besiktas were down to 10 men in the 62nd minute when referee Cüneyt Çakır sent Veli Kavlak off.
The Eagles slip down to second place with 35 points in 16 games. Galatasaray remain in third place also with 35 points.
