Besiktas are ‘ready’ for Club Brugge [divider]
Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic underlined that his side are ready for the Europa League Last 16 first-leg game against Club Brugge after beating Sivasspor 1-0.
Bilic revealed that he believes the league win will give his side a psychological boost going into the game.
“When they threatened us for the equaliser with late pressure, the defence stood their ground and succeeded in preserving our advantage,” Bilic told the official Beşiktaş website.
“Now, we are ready for Club Brugge.”
Beşiktaş joined league leaders Galatasaray at the top of the table following the win.
Galatasaray could however, go three points clear of Beşiktaş with a win against Fenerbahçe in the Intercontinental derby.
Beşiktaş secured a place in the Europa League Last 16 after knocking Liverpool out of the Round of 32 on penalties.
Club Brugge progressed to the Last 16 after eliminating Aalborg from the competition.
The Belgium outfit are currently first in the Belgium Pro League and beat Charloi 1-0 on the weekend.
