Besiktas’ Daniel Opare expected to start at left back against Liverpool

Besiktas manager Slaven Bilic will opt to field his new transfer Daniel Opare at left back against Liverpool in the Europa League on Thursday according to NTV Spor.

The Black Eagles first choice left back Ramon Motta is suspended for the game while the second choice Ismail Koybasi is out injured. Opare was signed as a right back but will be asked to fill on on the left side.

Besiktas centre back Ersan Gulum will also miss the game with a suspension. Atinc Nukan or Necip Uysal is expected to to play in place of the Turkish international.

Opare joined Besiktas on loan from Porto in January and has played 132 minutes of football for the Istanbul based club. The Ghana international suffered an injury in the Turkish Cup and hasn’t featured since.

Besiktas lost the first lef of the tie 1-0 at Anfield Road last week.
