Beşiktaş ‘deserved’ 3 points against Tottenham says Olcay Şahan [divider]
Beşiktaş deserve three points against Tottenham according to Olcay Şahan.
The Black Eagles winger setup Cenk Tosun with the winning goal as Beşiktaş beat Spurs 1-0 in the Europa League to go top of Group C.
“We started the game well and I believe we deserved the three points, the lights going out right at the end probably helped us a bit but we still deserved it,” Şahan said.
“We were under a lot of pressure but we managed to clinch first place, now we will see who our opponents are.
“What can I say, it feels great to finish the group as leaders it is what we wanted all along.
“We have shown what we are capable of but there is still a long way to go, we really need to carry on until the end of the season though it is way too early to get carried away, we have no margin for error.”
Şahan now has five goals and three assists in all competitions this sesaon.
