Besiktas in talks with Liverpool target Maxi Pereira

Besiktas who completed the transfer of Alexander Milosevic from AIK Stocholm for €1 million earlier today are looking to add a new right back to their squad.

According to LigTv, Besiktas have been in talks with Benfica’s right back Maxi Pereira.

The report goes on to state that initial talks between Besiktas and Pereira have been positive.

Besiktas are expected to table a bid for the 30-year-old in the coming days.

The Black Eagles have played much of the season without a right-back due to injuries and a lack of depth.

Midfielders Necip Uysal and Atiba Hutchinson have had to fill in as make shift right-backs from time to time this season.

Liverpool are also targeting a move for Benfica right-back Maxi Periera during the January transfer window according to the Mirror newspaper.

Beşiktaş have also been linked with Sporting’s Junior Caiçara, Dinamo Zagreb’s Ivo Pinto, Cruzeiro’s Mayke and Udinese’s Cameroon international Nyom.
