Beşiktaş board member Erdal Torunoğulları confirmed that he would like Bursaspor midfielder Ozan Tufan to join the club.
“It would be wrong for me to mention names regarding transfers we are considering or players we are in talks with,” Torunoğulları said.
“However, Ozan Tufan is an excellent player with a great future ahead of him, everybody wants him.”
Tufan has established himself as a first team regular for Bursaspor and has already scored for the senior Turkish national team.
The young midfielder is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Turkish football.
Tufan has two goals and two assists in 18 appearances for Bursaspor this season.
Torunoğulları also confirmed that Beşiktaş are on the verge of signing a right-back.
“We want to sign a right-back, transfers are always tough in January but we want a right-back and we could sign one very soon,” Torunoğulları said.
“We need to be patient.”
