Besiktas invite Chelsea to inaugural game at new stadium

Beşiktaş have reached an agreement to play their inaugural game at the Vodafone Arena against Chelsea according to Fanatik.

The Black Eagles were reported to have reached an agreement Chelsea to co-operate between the first teams, academies, training support and joint scouting projects earlier in the season.

Chelsea also took part in a charity fundraiser tournament with Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe in the summer for the Soma mining disaster fund.

The İnonü stadium is currently being rebuilt, the new Vodafone arena will be a state of the art, 41,903 seater stadium.

Beşiktaş recently signed a $145 million deal with Vodafone which included shirt sponsorship as well as the stadium naming rights.

The Black Eagles signed a stadium deal encompassing advertising, stadium naming rights and stadium technology infrastructure investment rights for 10+5 years worth $116 million.

The İnonü will be renamed as the Vodafone Arena when it is completed.
