Beşiktaş look to end Tottenham’s 18-game unbeaten run

Beşiktaş must end Tottenham’s 18-game unbeaten run in the Europa League if they are to top Group C.

The Black eagles will top the group if they beat Tottenham on Thursday. Any other result will mean the North London side hold onto first place, and a seeded position in the round of 32 draw.

Beşiktaş are unbeaten in five European home games. Tottenham have gone 18 UEFA Europa League group stage games without defeat since losing to PAOK FC in November 2011.

The home sides manager Slaven Bilic revealed that he was disappointed with his side despite Beşiktaş progressing to the Europa League Round of 32 following a 2-2 draw against Asteras.

“We qualified and did our job but I told my players before not to leave it all to the last game,” Bilic said.

“Now whether we clinch first place or not has been left down to the Tottenham game.”
