Beşiktaş manager Şenol Güneş gave the go ahead for the club to target Tottenham defender Younes Kabul according to Eurosport TR.
Kabul has been on the radar of a number of Turkish clubs over the past season including Süper Lig champions Galatasaray.
Italian Gazzetta Sport journalist Tancredi Palmeri reported that Beşiktaş made Kaboul an offer over the winter transfer window.

Former Beşiktaş manager Slaven Bilic also stated that he wanted Kaboul during his time at the club according to Turkish newspaper Akşam.
“We need a right-back but I would like to see Younes Kaboul join as well,” Bilic is quoted as saying by Akşam.
Kaboul fell out of favour with head coach Mauricio Pochettino last season and struggled for playing time only making 15 appearances all season.
The experienced defender still has another season left on his contract.
Beşiktaş finished the Turkish Super Lig season in third place and will play in the Europa League next season.
Slaven Bilic recently resigned from his position as Beşiktaş manager and has been replaced by former Turkish national team head coach Şenol Güneş.
