Besiktas must defend better says Bilic [divider]
Slaven Bilic underlined that Beşiktaş must defend better following the 2-1 away win against Karabükspor.
“We were in total control against Karabükspor until the last 15 minutes, we conceded a goal and struggled to cope,” Bilic said.
“This has happened a few years now, the opposition score and then move up the gears.
“We wanted to kill the game off and get the third goal but we must defend better as a team or we will be vulnerable on the break.
“The team must defend better as a collective and the players must improve individually in defensive situations.
“The wingers must defend better, the fullbacks must defend better, we have to make it more difficult for the opposition to attack us down the flanks.”
Beşiktaş have struggled defensively this season despite being first in the Süper Lig on 23 points.
The Black Eagles have only kept one clean sheet in their last seven games.
