Besiktas set to appoint French legend Jean Tigana as head of youth development

Beşiktaş have offered former manager Jean Tigana a role as head of youth development according to Lig Tv.

The Black Eagles are reported to have got the green light from manager Slaven Bilic to go ahead and push for a deal.

Tigana signed a two and a half year deal as Beşiktaş manager in October 2005.

The former French international led the Black Eagles to their first Turkish Cup in eight years.

Tigana resigned after winning the 2007 Turkish Cup and returned to coaching in 2010 taking over Ligue 1 ouffit Bordeaux.

The French footballing legend also recently coached Chinese giants Shanghai Shenhua.

Beşiktaş are currently managed by Bilic and are in second place, three points behind Galatasaray but with a game in hand.

The Black Eagles will go first with a win against Gaziantepspor at the Osmanlı stadium.

Beşiktaş will be playing at home technically but the game will be played in Ankara due to the Inönü stadium being rebuilt.
