Besiktas sign FC Dnipro keeper Denys Boyko

Beşiktaş have completed the signing of FC Dnipro goalkeeper Denys Boyko. The Ukraine international arrived in Istanbul today and is expected to be unveiled in an official signing ceremony.

Boyko was greeted by Beşiktaş fans at the airport and will undergo his medical at the Fulya Acıbadem hospital.

The Black Eagles released a statement confirming they have entered talks with Dnipro and Boyko yesterday.

The statement read: “Negotiations with FC Dnipro and Denys Boyko are currently underway.”

Turkish clubs listed on the stock exchange are required to disclose transfer talks before announcing the actual transfer.

The statement regarding talks is generally a formality before the actual transfer is revealed to the public.

Beşiktaş have been in the hunt for a new goalkeeper following a string of costly errors from first-choice keeper Tolga Zengin.

The Eagles are currently first in the league and have scored the highest number of goals (41) however, their defensive record is the worst in the top six.
