The Black Eagles rejected claims that Lucescu will be replacing Slaven Bilic for the second time in a week.

Bilic has been closely linked with a move to the Premier League next season however, the Beşiktaş board have underlined that they want the Croatian manager to stay on as head coach next season.

Lucescu previously managed Beşiktaş and won the Süper Lig as Black Eagles head coach in 2002-03.

The Romanian manager has a lot of experience coaching in Turkey and has also been closely linked with a move to Fenerbahçe.
