Besiktas star who has seen value increase 2700% since Arsenal exit could face former side in Champions League group stage

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Besiktas playmaker Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Besiktas star Oguzhan Ozyakup played a key role in his side winning the league title and booking a place in the Champions League group stages.

The Black Eagles have been drawn in Pot 4 and could end up facing Ozyakup’s former side Arsenal in the group stage.

The Gunners have been draw in Pot 2 despite finishing the Premier League in third place.

The pots will be confirmed following the Champions League playoff round second-leg games which take place mid-week and the draw will go ahead on Thursday.

Ozyakup has seen his value increase a whopping 2700 percent since 2012 when he joined Besiktas on a £425K move from Arsenal according to Transfermarkt.

Ozyakup left Arsenal in pursuit of first team football and has gone onto become a star player for the Black Eagles winning silverware and attracting interest from across Europe.
